Local customer centres and billing complaints
IESCOBillDesk · Reviewed 28 October 2026
For a disputed charge, incorrect reading or payment problem, contact the electricity company. Call 118, use SMS 8118, or open the official complaint form. These are provider support channels, not IESCOBillDesk contacts.
Find a local centre
The official customer centre directory lists these locations. Confirm current details and the centre responsible for your account before travelling.

Prepare a clear complaint
Keep the reference number, billing month and a short explanation ready. For a payment issue, include the date, amount and receipt when the official channel asks for them. For a reading issue, identify the exact reading you dispute. Never touch a meter or exposed wire to gather evidence.
Keep the complaint reference
Save the acknowledgement and use the official complaint tracker to follow progress. A complaint submission does not by itself confirm a correction or extend a payment deadline. Ask the provider what action applies to your account.
Choose the issue before contacting support
A payment investigation needs a transaction receipt and the account used for payment. A reading complaint needs the billed readings and period. A consumer-detail correction concerns the account record and may require documents. Naming the issue accurately helps the receiving team understand what you need reviewed.
Use a short complaint description
A useful description states the billing month, the field in question, what you expected and the evidence available. For example: the current bill shows an earlier balance, but you hold a receipt for the previous month. Include the transaction date and amount when asked privately. Avoid adding unrelated account history unless it helps explain the disputed item.
Before visiting a customer centre
Confirm the centre responsible for your connection and check its current opening arrangements. Take the relevant bill and supporting receipt or documents. Keep your own copies and ask what the next step will be. Do not assume every centre can complete every type of account change during the same visit.
Follow one case through
Save the complaint reference, submission date and any response. When following up, quote that reference and explain what remains unresolved. Keep a simple note of dates and actions so that you can distinguish a request for more information from a completed correction. Ask the provider which escalation route applies if the case remains open.
Frequently asked questions
Can this site submit or decide my complaint?
No. IESCOBillDesk cannot investigate meter records, reverse charges or promise a response date. Use the supplier channel for the account issue. Website display problems are separate from complaints about the electricity service.
What should I keep after submitting a complaint?
Save the acknowledgement, complaint reference, date and supporting documents. Use the same reference when following up.
Does a complaint automatically extend the deadline?
No. Ask the supplier to confirm the payment deadline and any action that applies while your case is reviewed.
Can my bank investigate a missing payment?
Your payment provider can check its transaction record. The supplier must investigate how that payment appears on the electricity account.
Should I submit the same complaint repeatedly?
Follow up with the existing reference first and ask which escalation route applies. Duplicate submissions can make the history harder to follow.
