What to do when your bill will not open
IESCOBillDesk · Reviewed 28 October 2026
If your bill does not appear, first check the account details and search option. A blank page or failed request does not prove that your electricity account is invalid.
Check the number before retrying
- Confirm the supplier printed on your old bill is Islamabad Electric Supply Company.
- Select reference number for 14 digits or Customer ID for 10 digits.
- Keep leading zeroes. Remove spaces and copy the suffix from the paper bill.
- Check whether your browser blocked the new tab.
If the official page is slow or unavailable
Open the official billing page directly. If it also fails, try again later. This independent website cannot restore PITC or force it to publish a new record. Avoid submitting the same request repeatedly.
If your reference has changed
Use the company’s old or new reference search. Compare the returned account details with your earlier bill. Contact the customer centre if the record still does not match your connection.
If you need the amount urgently
Contact the official customer service channel with your account identifier. Explain that the billing page is unavailable and mention the billing month. Do not guess the payable total from an earlier month or an online estimate.
Keep your receipt if you have already paid. A delayed bill update and an unpaid account are different issues. Your bank or payment provider can help check the transaction itself.
Identify which part of the lookup failed
If our form reports an invalid number before a new tab opens, check the selected search method and digit count. If a new tab opens but the official page fails, the problem is at a later stage. Write down the message you see so that you can explain whether it is an input problem, a blocked tab or an unavailable result.
Try a controlled retry
Re-enter the number from the paper bill once, rather than repeating the same pasted value. Confirm the company and suffix, then allow the result tab to open. If the destination times out, wait before retrying. Repeated requests cannot make a new billing record appear sooner and can make it harder to follow what you have already tried.
If a different account appears
Stop before saving or paying. Compare every digit with the earlier bill and check that the reference belongs to the property you intended. A valid-looking number does not establish ownership. Do not share or use the other consumer’s details; return to the checker and correct your entry.
Describe a persistent problem clearly
Keep the supplier name, billing month, time of attempt and exact error message. Mention whether the issue also occurs in another browser or on another connection if you have tried that. Mask account identifiers in public screenshots. Send the full identifier only through the supplier’s private support process when it requests it.
Frequently asked questions
Does a missing page mean my balance is zero?
No. An unavailable website or missing lookup result tells you nothing conclusive about the payable balance. Ask the supplier for the current record when you need the amount urgently. Do not substitute an estimate or an earlier month’s total.
Should I try another supplier page?
Choose the supplier printed on your bill. Changing supplier pages at random does not recover a missing record.
What if the browser blocks the result tab?
Allow the tab for this lookup and submit again. Check that the number and search method remain correct.
Can a recent payment make the bill disappear?
An unavailable result does not establish the status of a payment. Verify the transaction using your receipt and payment provider.
Should I share an error screenshot publicly?
Hide the account identifier, consumer name, address and transaction details first. Keep the error wording visible.
